The Raw Material
- The raw materials used are environmentally friendly,
recyclable and biodegradable.
- The paper used is made of sugar cane fiber (bagasse). Sugar
Canes are cropped every two months, in contrast to wood able
trees, which are ready for the industrialization process every
fifteen years.
- The sugar cane fiber is a by-product of the sugar industry and
sugar cane is a non-wood resource, renewable in short periods of
time.
- The paper used on the manufacturing of Productos Unidos
waxed paper cone cups is made out of 100% virgin fiber, 75% of which
comes from sugar cane fiber, and the remaining 25% from pine
trees.
TRADE
The distribution chain has been clearly identified; most of the
American paper cone cups suppliers sell their products through
wholesalers, which deliver the product to all customer they serve;
the chain goes on until the last link: the e-commerce sellers.
